Arno Tiemersma, software engineer at Sioux Technologies, works in a small team at a client. Despite working at the customer's site, he considers himself a real Sioux'er.

The connection with Sioux is good, also from a distance

Arno has a master's degree in Embedded Systems from TU/e and has been working at Sioux since 2017.
He works at location at Kulicke & Soffa, developer of pick and place- and LED bonding machines. Arno operates in a small team responsible for the planning software of these machines.

Challenge

Arno: "Everyone within the team has a lot of knowledge of the different machines, and the work is very varied because we often work on several projects at the same time. The LED bonding machines are still under development, and it is a new production process. Due to the constantly changing requirements during the development process, the project is challenging.”

Growth opportunities

“Due to the possibilities within the team and the support of Sioux, I quickly promoted from Junior to Senior Sofware Engineer. Together with my Group Lead, I have drawn up a personal plan for the future. So in terms of career opportunities, I am definitely in the right place at Sioux.”

Good connection

“What I really like about Sioux is the relationship with the company and the personal contact. I work full-time for the client, but I still know many Sioux colleagues through courses, socials, and knowledge groups. This gives you the feeling that you are not just those "extra hands" with the client. During the corona period, Sioux also organized a lot online, from informative meetings and virtual coffee moments to pub quizzes, so that you stay in touch with your colleagues even if you don't meet them 'live.'”

Good reputation

“Sioux has a good reputation in the market. I notice that in the possibilities and the trust I get within projects from the client.”
